Tightening down…

After many months of dealing with SPAM messages and fraudulent BOT users being created, I have finally tightened things down on ‘Bits.  I’m sorry I’ve had to invoke the CAPTCHA process to prevent said irritants.  If you want to post a message on this site you have two options: 1) Create and account and go through registration once (with CAPTCHA images) and post a comment, or 2) Create a comment and do CAPTCHA verification every time.

I’m glad that WordPress is so extensible.  Hats off to all the WP Developers and extension Developers!  They make managing a blog so easy!

Man Laws

Are you getting as sick of these Miller Lite Man Laws as I am? It’s bad enough seeing them on regular TV ads, but the last couple of weeks these ads have been saturated during NASCAR races. You know, those crappy commercials that star Burt Reynolds and the “Men of the Square Table”:

So being really frustrated with Miller Lite standing by Kurt Busch, I created my own man law on their site. I’m sure it’s been deleted by now, but hey… I had to say my peace:

John's Man Law

Thank you, Rick Adelman!

Well, this has been one hell of a week for Kings fans.  First the loss and end of the season Friday and now today something is happening regarding Rick Adelman I was saddened to just get the following Sacramento Kings News alert via the Sacramento Bee:

Source: Adelman out as Kings coach

The Rick Adelman era in Sacramento is over.

According to inside sources, Kings president of basketball operations Geoff Petrie is expected to announce at a 3 p.m. news conference today that the coach who led them to eight consecutive playoff berths will not be back next season.

Please oh please… don’t let the Don Nelson rumors be true. :(

What are the Maloofs thinking?

Flagrant Foul 2.

Damn. No Ron-Ron for Game 2. This better light a fire under the other Kings players to do *something*. It just seems like the NBA is acting more and more like NASCAR these days. They bend the rules for the darlings of the league, but the known “bad boys” are punished. Come on folks, the playoffs are physical. There was a hell of a lot more hitting than what Ron did. It’s just so frustrating. I’m really starting to believe the other Kings fans of a conspiracy.

GO KINGS.

Busch Brothers = Arrogance.

Nice. What the hell is NASCAR thinking about having someone such as Kyle Busch be a spokesman for its “Focus on Driving” campaign?!? You would think that Kyle would have learned a lesson from his brother’s incident last November. It’s nuts to think that someone as wreckless as Kyle is on the track, that NASCAR would tap him for their safety program. Crazy.
