What a weekend in sports!

This last weekend proved to be a bittersweet weekend for me in regards to sports.  My beloved Sacramento Kings were knocked out of the playoffs in Game 6 by San Antonio.  In the end, it turned out to be a memorable season.  If only the Kings had acquired Ron Artest sooner, things might have been a little different.  But I have to admit that he followed through with his promise – the Kings made the playoffs!  All I know is I want a Ron-Ron Jersey! :D

Was that Richmond race exciting or what?  I am so glad that Junior won!  I was so sick of Jimmie Johnson winning!  At least Carl Edwards was in the Top 10 this time.  That boy has a lot of ground to make up if he’s going to be in the “Race for the Chase.”  Probably the best part of the race was when the whiner’s (Jeff Gordon) car stopped working.  That just made my day. :D  Give me a Roush Racing or DEI car in victory lane any day!

Suit Up!

This television season has produced some real hit and miss shows to watch. My favorite freshman show for this television season is How I Met Your Mother. This show is so quirky that it is funny. But it does paint a pretty clear picture of a 20-something male trying to find true love. To a big degree, I can relate to the series’ main character, Ted. I just hope that when ever this series does end, that they reveal who the mother is and when Ted met her. I was happy to hear that this show was picked up for another year.

Note to television networks: we need more sitcom comedies that have the candor that How I Met Your Mother has. Heck, even Howard Stern likes the show. He was talking about it this morning on his radio show with Robin.

What’s even more cool is there is a blog for the character Barney on the CBS site. Make sure to check out Barney’s Get Psyched Mix. This is a mix that every young bachelor should have! ;) Make sure to make everyday events “Legendary” and remember to “Suit Up!”

Kings lose.

Damn.  Now the series is 3-2 in favor of San Antonio.  Friday night just might be the end of the season for the Kings.  I sure hope not!  If anything, I hope they take it to a game 7 just to tire out the Spurs.  I really want an interesting NBA championship game this year that doesn’t involove the Spurs or the Pistons.  Is that wishful thinking or what?

GO KINGS!
