It’s going to be the Spurs

Oh boy.  It’s official.  The Lakers beat the Hornets.  Kings are the 8th seed.  This is going to be an interesting series with the Spurs!  I hope that the Kings at least provide a good effort and give San Antonio a run for their money.  Now I wish I would have picked up those lower section seats on Sunday night.  Oh well, just as long as some of these games are in High Definition.  I really don’t see me getting down to Sacramento any time soon anyway.

GO KINGS!

If you don’t like that, you don’t like Kings basketball!

What a great surge the Sacramento Kings are having. They finished their regular season on a high note with another win! Now we just have to wait until the game tomorrow to find out who the Kings will play in the first round of the playoffs. Playing either the Suns or Spurs should prove to be an exciting matchup!

I just hope that some games are shown on either ESPN or TNT since I can get both in High Definition. There’s nothing like watching a basketball game in High Definition. Oh that’s right there is one better – actually being there!

TV Nostalgia

I was excited today when my package from Amazon came. In it contained Knight Rider Season 4, which is the final season of this great series. I’ve already watched half of the first DVD and it brings back a lot of memories. KITT is made better than ever with a bunch of new goodies. Why did they ever cancel this show? I know its cheesy and it would be almost impossible for a car such as KITT to even exist. But it is a fun show to watch.
The universe will be whole once the last few seasons of Dukes Of Hazzard are released. There is just too much junk on TV these days. At least they are now on DVD so I can enjoy them any time I want. Maybe I’ll start collecting the A-Team series next. :)

Who would have thought?!?

Being a frustrated Kings fan this season I figured there was no chance in hell the Kings would make it to the playoffs. Most of the season, games have been a frustration to watch. Then on January 26, 2006 an amazing thing happened for the Kings: They traded struggling star Peja Stojakovic for bad boy Ron Artest. A few days after the trade to the Kings, Ron Artest promised a playoff berth in Sacramento. It happened tonight – the Kings are officially in the NBA Playoffs!

I am excited beyond belief! Since the Tru Warier came to Sacramento, there has been a surge of defense and rebounds in games that were never present before. This team has become exciting to watch again. All I have is two words to say:

GO KINGS!

Busch Brothers = Arrogance.

Nice. What the hell is NASCAR thinking about having someone such as Kyle Busch be a spokesman for its “Focus on Driving” campaign?!? You would think that Kyle would have learned a lesson from his brother’s incident last November. It’s nuts to think that someone as wreckless as Kyle is on the track, that NASCAR would tap him for their safety program. Crazy.

A new blog, a new year and new start

It is my biggest hope that 2006 will be marked on a more positive note of what is yet to come this year. The first three and a half months were blurred together with stress at work and an ending of a relationship with someone who I thought would be my forever. When I said farewell to 2005, I didn’t expect this year to turn out the way it has. As I try to salvage what appeared to be a downer of a year I’m going to highlight some of the positives happening for me:

  • I’m down 20 lbs. from the start of the year. If the weather and my knees would cooperate with me, I believe I can take some more pounds off. If that isn’t a confidence booster, I don’t know what is.
  • Even though I stressed out about things going on in my life I kept focus. At work, we pulled off a tremendous amount of projects in a short timespan.
  • My blood pressure has been extremely low through everything. January’s reading was 124/75 and last week’s reading was 128/78. I haven’t had this low of blood pressure in some time, especially the bottom number.
  • Friends and family. What can I say? You all have been awesome! Thanks for the long late night talks and the listening ears. I’m always here for you all.
  • I’m taking the initiative to move forward, get out and get involved in the community. I live in an awesome area and should give back to the community that I love and call my home. My plan is to volunteer and get involved with the County Animal Shelter.
  • To move forward and do something with this site! Adorador.net recently celebrated 6 years online the Internet. This site has been in mothballs since March 2004. I’ve scrapped everything but the barebones and will be adding new content as the weeks progress.

In closing of this first post, I have to say that these ups and downs in life make way for a stronger person. Live the highs and survive the lows. In the end, life is what you put into it, and I want to live life to the fullest.
